North students share how they think they’ve done over the past six weeks of the semester

“I think I’ve done better than I did last semester because I didn’t care since I don’t like school that much. Something that’s helped me do better in school is my friend group. I’m in Geometry, Spanish 2, and Honors English. Only Honors English stresses me out because English is a harder subject for me, but I get help from my brother,” said freshman Taya Singletary.

“I think I’ve done good but I procrastinated a lot because I was lazy. Sometimes I was overwhelmed, but sometimes I just didn’t want to do the work. I’m in all honors core classes and I think it’s worth it because I feel like they will prepare me for later in life. I was in all honors classes last year and this year a lot of the stuff is less busy work and more productive,” said sophomore Jeremy Lau.

“I feel like I’ve tried my best at the six week point but I still have time to make progress [in my classes]. Some things I’m content with but with math my teacher teaches the class really fast, so if people are behind they tend to get left behind. I have all A’s except for a C in Latine because things like reading comprehension and grammar are hard for me,” said junior Kristina Tran.

“Six week grades went pretty well. In order to keep on top of my grades I got all of my work done fast so that I wouldn’t be stressed,” said senior Kevon McMiller.
