On Feb. 10, the Parkway North High School Key Club spent time after school making homemade dog toys to donate to the Humane Society of Maryland Heights and Five Acres Animal Shelter.
The members of Key Club made the dog toys out of old t-shirts. Club President and senior Joycelyn Botelho said, “it is a great way to utilize old t-shirts into making dog toys.”
Key Club asked members to bring in old t-shirts, tennis balls, and other things to create into toys for the dogs at the shelters.
Botelho said, “As president, I was extremely proud of the effort and time put into this year’s dog toy donation. Key Club had enough toys to donate to the Humane Society of Maryland Heights and Five Acres.”
Key Club, which is short for Kiwanis Club, is a club at North that spends its time doing community service, volunteering, and helping others in ways that they can. For those interested in Key Club, contact LuAnn Fallahi.
