Senior Women Host Freshmen Girl's Breakfast, Plan for Year

On Sept. 22, Senior Women will hold their first event of the year when they host a breakfast for the freshmen girls.
The Senior Women try to hold events for each grade level throughout the year. They are also thinking about leaving an item or trademark at the school after they graduate, like the Senior Women did at Parkway West with repainting the bathrooms to different themes.
“We really want to establish each class to leave something for the school,” said Barger.
The group also advocates women’s rights and power in society and strives to create a bond between the women of the senior class. They are currently planning a Senior Women lock-in where the girls would go to different stations of fitness, fashion, and other activities.
Senior Women advisor Melody Barger said that she thinks that Senior Women’s purpose is to, “set a legacy for the women of that class for the school.”
“We want to empower the senior women to be strong women and to set an example for the underclassmen,” said Barger.
Senior Women is an organization dedicated to making the senior year a great year for the women of the grade and to bettering the school for the future Senior Women to come.
