North’s Boys’ Varsity Basketball Takes on Webster Groves

On Tuesday, Jan. 31, the boys’ varsity basketball team will be hosting Webster Groves in the Suburban South Conference Championship.  Webster Groves has won 75 straight conference games, making Tuesday’s game one of the biggest this year.
“It’s an important game because Webster is #4 in the state and we’re #11.  They feel invincible in the Suburban South Conference because they haven’t lost in so long.  This makes it really important because we’re definitely a force to be reckoned with.  It should be a really great game,” said junior Johnathan Little.
Because of the large expected turn out, and the situation both teams are in, the rivalry game will be aired live on FoxSportsMidwest.com.
“It seems like Webster is always good no matter what sport we’re playing them in, especially since 2009 when we played them in football,” said junior Noah Rosen.
As of Thursday, Jan. 26, the Vikings are at 15-2, and the Webster Groves Statesmen are standing at 16-2, so there is plenty to look forward to on Tuesday.
Tip-off will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31 at Parkway North.
