Students Share Plans For Spring Break

Senior Alex Waters and his family pose for a picture after enjoying a long day of skiing. Waters and his family will be headed back to Denver, Colorado to enjoy a trip just like this one during this year’s spring break.

Students and staff are looking forward to spring break. Some students and teachers at North will travel with friends and family, while others will chose to stay home and make other plans.
Senior Alex Waters is one of those many students who will be headed out of town for spring break. Waters and his family will be headed to Denver, Colorado for the week of spring break.
“My family and I plan to go skiing a lot and visit my aunt and uncle,” said Waters.
Waters also said that while this is only his second time going out of town for spring break, he is really looking forward to it.
“The last time my family and I went on a vacation during break was my freshman year, so it will be nice to get out of town again and enjoy some time with family,” said Waters.
Another group of students who will be going out of town during this year’s spring break are those who signed up for the band trip to the Bahamas. The band program takes trip like these every other year, so it is very special to the ones going on it the year that it happens.
“I will get the chance to do fun things like swim with dolphins my senior year before I have to go to college,” said senior Rachael Fritz.
Along with enjoying the beautiful weather, the band program will also be performing on their six day cruise for others on the ship which is a once in a lifetime experience.
“I am really looking forward to performing on the ship because I feel it will create an even better experience for me and the others on this trip,” said senior Kristina Tran who will also be going on the trip.
While some students will enjoy their spring break on snowy slopes or warm beaches, many will stay here in St. Louis.
Sophomore Amy Jordan said, “I usually stay in town for spring break and this year I will be doing the same. I am looking forward to catching up on sleep and not having to do any homework.”
No matter what it is that students at North will be doing over spring break, it’s fair to say that it is good to get a break from school no matter what you are doing or where you are going.
